Slopes
A hymn to Provence!
You only need to arrive on the premises to be definitively convinced by the promises of the Servanes logo, an “S” both club and olive branch . How better to describe the characteristics of this golf course located at the foot of the Alpilles mountains in Mouriès, the first olive-growing town in France!
Listed within the perimeter of the Alpilles Regional Natural Park, the natural environment of the golf course attests to the ecological richness of the site. Olive trees, vines and cypresses, thyme, rosemary, broom in spring and lavender in summer, the decor mixes all the scents with the song of cicadas as if to celebrate Provence.
The judicious alliance between Gery Watine, a top-level coach and France’s number one for several years, and Thierry Sprecher, an architect and landscape architect specialising in golf projects, has resulted in a well-balanced golf course that aims to provide the pleasure of the game and to enhance the value of the landscape heritage.
The first fairways are drawn on a background of white rocks following the line of the Alpilles massif. In the centre of the course, starting from green n°6, the clever arrangement of water features orchestrates the layout of several holes. The complexity of the course is uneven according to the level of play but the immense pleasure of breathing the Provence is common to all players.
A terroir of great richness
To the great satisfaction of golfers staying in the Alpilles region, these very typical lands, marked by their agricultural vocation, produce real nuggets, notably the olive oil of the Vallée des Baux or the Baux de Provence wines which are honoured on all the good tables!
At the heart of an exceptional heritage, the demands and desires are many and cheerfully punctuate the holidays between swings and discoveries.
